Are you a Veteran? La Vernia High School will be hosting a Veterans Day event, "Real People, Real Conversations," on November 9th, from 8:15 - 4:30. During the event, we will honor Veterans while providing students with the opportunity to participate in round-table discussions with the men and women who have served our country. Veterans who volunteer will be treated to the amazing hospitality provided by Culinary Arts students and performances by ASL students. CTE students attended the Texas Construction Career Initiative and ABC South Texas Construction Career Day at the Freeman Coliseum last week. Students had an opportunity to visit with over 20 companies and learn about the various job opportunities within the field.
Congratulations to our Mighty LaVernia Band! They earned all 1's at the Region 13 Marching Contest today at Heroes Stadium.
