💻🐻 LVHS Prep Days Are Almost Here! 🐻💻

LVHS Prep Days are just around the corner, which means it’s time to get Chromebooks ready so everyone is prepared for the first day of school!

✅ Students using a district-issued Chromebook will pick up their device in the LVHS Library on their designated Prep Day.

✅ Students participating in the Bring Your Own Chromebook (BYOC) Program should bring their Chromebook to the LVHS Library on their designated Prep Day for required software installation.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️
Before a student can receive a district-owned Chromebook or have software installed on a BYOC device, both the student and a parent/guardian must complete the required online Agreement Form after reviewing the LVHS 1-to-1 Student Chromebook Policy 2026–2027.

Beginning in the 2026-2027 school year, La Vernia High School will launch a new Bring Your Own Chromebook (BYOC) program! 🎓📚

This optional program allows students to use a personally owned Chromebook for instructional purposes while at school. This BYOC program is in compliance with HB 1481 regarding personal communication devices. ✅

✔️ Participation is completely optional
✔️ District-issued Chromebooks will continue to be available for students who do not bring their own device 💙
✔️ Student devices will have access to district learning resources and safety protections 🔒🌐
✔️ No student will be denied access to technology or instruction 🏫✨

Our goal is to increase access to digital learning tools, promote student responsibility, and maintain a safe and effective learning environment for all students. 🚀📖

☀️🍎 Summer Meals Available at La Vernia Junior High School! 🍎☀️

La Vernia ISD Child Nutrition will be serving grab-and-go summer meal bundles 🥪🍎 from June 8–25, 2026, Monday through Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the La Vernia Junior High School Cafeteria. 🏫

📦 Each meal bundle includes lunch and a snack, and on Thursdays, students may also pick up Friday's meal bundle.

✅ Children may be eligible to receive summer meals at no cost through the USDA Summer Food Service Program.

Students who qualify for Free or Reduced-Price Meals are eligible to receive free summer meals. Children in households receiving SNAP, TANF, or FDPIR benefits are automatically eligible.

📝 To determine eligibility for free summer meals, families who have not already done so are encouraged to complete a Household Application for Free and Reduced-Price Meals.

👧👦 Children 18 years of age and younger may participate, even if they are not enrolled in summer school or other summer programs.
