Please note there is a correction to HIGH SCHOOL credit recovery and attendance recovery times: they are 8am to 4pm, not half-day.

The first LVHS Law Practicum class had an incredible year! All 18 students received their Private Security Level II certification and their OSHA 10-Hour General Industry Public Safety: Law Enforcement, Corrections, Security certification. Throughout the year, they assisted the LVISD Security Team and campus SROs with security checks on all four campuses. They attended the TEX-ABOTA James Otis Lecture Series celebrating Constitution Day at the Texas Capital and Municipal Court Week in San Antonio. They learned about security measures, anti-theft tools, and safety precautions at our local HEB, assisted with the Reality Check program for incoming 8th-grade students, and closed out the year with a full tour of the Bexar Co. Jail and the SAPD Helicopter Unit. They were the best inaugural Practicum class and have set the bar high for future classes. The Class of '25 will be missed!

ππ» Itβs GRADUATION DAY! π»π
On Tuesday, our seniors made one last walk through the hallsβdecked out in caps, gowns, and proud smilesβas students and teachers cheered them on every step of the way. ππ€
From kindergarten dreams to high school memories, theyβve grown, learned, and now theyβre ready to take on the world. Tonight, we celebrate not just their accomplishments, but their incredible journey.

Dear LVHS Families and Staff,
We have an exciting announcement! Next year, our district will become a 1:1 Chromebook campus. This means that every student at the high school will be assigned a Chromebook to use for classes at home and at school. This gives every student the same opportunity to access and complete assignments.
Chromebooks will be checked out to students at registration or on the first day of classes. We know there will be many questions regarding the use and care of the Chromebooks and the responsibilities of the students, and so we have this document outlining the LVHS 1:1 Student Chromebook Policy available for your convenience.
We look forward to a fabulous 2025/2026 school year, and hope you have a safe and healthy summer vacation!

Congratulations to Kailey Rumfield! Kailey will be attending Texas A&M University in the fall, and she will be majoring in horticulture. Great job, Kailey!

You are cordially invited :-)

Congratulations to LVHS sophomore student, Kensley Shelton, whose short story, Dragon of the Desert, was recently published in the University of the Incarnate Wordβs yearly magazine, Quirk! You can find her story written under her professional pen name of Bernadette Remington. Please also note, she was the only high school student published in the magazine outside of the "high school" section - her work is included with the other university students. Enjoy the short story, and remember that name. At the age of 16, βBernadetteβ has just completed her first novel and is shopping for a publisher. She has big dreams and a bright future ahead!
