Mrs. Hunter had the opportunity to take La Vernia's (first ever) Law Practicum class to visit the Texas Capitol to attend the TEX-ABOTA James Otis Lecture Series celebrating Constitution Day. They received a tour of the Capitol, attended the lecture series, in which they heard from Dr. H.W. Brand, and were treated to a delicious lunch at the historic Scholz Garten. Students received a Certificate of Participation and an autographed book from Dr. Brand. Dr. Brand is a Professor at the University of Texas at Austin, has written 30 books, 2 of which were finalists for the Pulitzer Prize, and is a New York Times Bestselling Author. It was a great day and an incredible opportunity for our Law Practicum students!
