The GT Referral Window is now open for all LVHS students. Students can be referred by parents, teachers, and self. Fill out the QR code to refer a student. The GT Referral Window is open from December 2nd until December 19th. The LVHS Culinary Arts classes experienced the sweet taste of victory today! While participating in a Bento Cake Competition with three categories, we took first place in all three! The Intro to Culinary class took 1st and 2nd place, the Culinary 1 class took 1st place, and the Advanced Culinary class took 1st place! In total, LVHS went home with four out of nine trophies! Our Culinary Classes really take the cake! Way to go!

Last week, students in Mrs. McIntyre's Statistics classes created their own Probability board games. These games help students to understand the principles of Probability, a branch of mathematics that deals with the occurrence of a random event. Students created, designed, presented, and played their board games, proving once again, that learning is fun!
Law Practicum students attended the 2024 Municipal Court Week in San Antonio last Thursday! They participated in an impaired driving simulation, impaired goggles games, and a mock trial. They also listened to a presentation from Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and were moved by guest presenter Karin Zaltsman, who spoke about her personal tragedy and brought awareness to the dangers of distracted driving. It was a fun and educational day!

We want to take a moment to recognize our local veterans and their families for their sacrifices and dedication. 🎖️ Let's also show our appreciation to the teachers and staff at LVISD who have served in the military. The inaugural LVHS Law Practicum Class had their first day of Field Work today! Students are assigned to each of the four campuses and will shadow and learn from the LVISD Security Team and campus SROs. If you see them in their official Law Practicum shirts and sweatshirts (designed by our very own Braelyn White!), be sure to say hi!
