La Vernia ISD Child Nutrition Department Feeding Bear Country!
Last week, a group of LVHS Practicum in Entrepreneurship students and BPA officers spent the day leading 8th grade business classes at the junior high.
Our high school Business Bears kicked off the first in a series of business-focused activities designed to connect with junior high business students throughout the year. They introduced students to the Business Program of Study, discussed the courses and career pathways available to them, and shared their own experiences as business students and BPA members. Our high school students also led a business activity with the classes, giving 8th graders the opportunity to participate, ask questions and see firsthand how business concepts connect to real-world skills and careers. Throughout the day, they also talked about leadership opportunities, business competition, career preparation, and skills students can begin building now that will support them throughout high school and beyond.
It all starts now in 8th grade. 🐻💙

We’re excited to welcome you tomorrow!

Numbers are back in action!
Our LVHS UIL Accounting Team is already hard at work on Fridays preparing for another year of competition. These students are sharpening their skills in financial analysis, problem-solving, accuracy, and accounting principles as they prepare to compete in both UIL Accounting and BPA Accounting. After earning 3rd place at UIL Regionals last year, this returning team is ready to build on that experience and take on new challenges this year.
We’re proud of the time, focus, and determination these students bring to the table. Keep up the great work, Business Bears! 💙🐻

💻🐻 LVHS Prep Days Are Almost Here! 🐻💻
LVHS Prep Days are just around the corner, which means it’s time to get Chromebooks ready so everyone is prepared for the first day of school!
✅ Students using a district-issued Chromebook will pick up their device in the LVHS Library on their designated Prep Day.
✅ Students participating in the Bring Your Own Chromebook (BYOC) Program should bring their Chromebook to the LVHS Library on their designated Prep Day for required software installation.
⚠️ IMPORTANT ⚠️
Before a student can receive a district-owned Chromebook or have software installed on a BYOC device, both the student and a parent/guardian must complete the required online Agreement Form after reviewing the LVHS 1-to-1 Student Chromebook Policy 2026–2027.
The Chromebook Policy and Agreement Form can be found on the LVHS website in the Family & Students section:
