ππ» Purple Up, April 15th! π»π
April is the Month of the Military Child, and this yearβs theme says it best:
Brave Hearts. Bright Futures. π«
On April 15th, we invite all students, staff, and our community to wear PURPLE as we honor the strength, resilience, and courage of our military-connected students. π
Together, we create a culture of kindness, respect, and prideβbecause every student matters. ππ€
π» Wear purple. Show your support. Make it meaningful. ππ€π

Our Principles of Law students stepped into the role of real-life detectives during an exciting Crime Scene Investigation exercise! π§ͺ𧩠From analyzing evidence to piecing together clues, these bright minds put their critical thinking and teamwork skills to the test.
With every fingerprint dusted and every detail examined, our Bears showed what it means to be focused, curious, and ready for the future. ππ»
Hands-on learning like this brings the classroom to lifeβand we couldnβt be more proud of the dedication and enthusiasm our students bring every day!

La Vernia High School BPA students recently competed at the Texas BPA State Leadership Conference held in Dallas, March 5β8.
This yearβs conference brought together over 4,500 students from across Texas, representing 17 regions statewide. In many competitive events, students faced 85β100 competitors or teams per category, making this an extremely competitive event.
La Vernia students represented their school with professionalism, dedication, and strong preparation across a variety of business, leadership, and technology-focused events. Two students earned the opportunity to advance to the BPA National Leadership Conference in Nashville this May:
* Jena Talbert β Qualified in Basic Office Systems & Procedures, a Microsoft Office competitive event focused on advanced business document and application skills
* Micah Lyssy β Elected Regional President at the Regional Leadership Conference and will represent his region at the National Leadership Conference as part of his officer responsibilities
All students who competed demonstrated commitment, professionalism, and growth throughout the experience.
The BPA program continues to provide students with opportunities to develop real-world business, leadership, and workplace readiness skills while representing La Vernia High School at the regional, state, and national levels. The La Vernia BPA chapter is led by advisor Cynthia Sutton, with continued collaboration and support from Mr. Michael Reading, Junior High Business Teacher, as the program continues to grow across campuses.
