The house bill took effect on June 20, 2025, and states that students shall not use a personal communication device on school property during the school day. From 7:30 AM until 4:37 PM, all communication devices must be stored in a backpack or purse if brought to campus. This includes cell phones, smart watches, air pods, smart glasses, tablets, etc.
